IMPORTANT: change as of September 1, 2024
Effective September 1, 2024, the Pressure Vacuum Machinist (DMV) can only be taken if you have held a Pressure Vacuum Auxiliary (DVH) certificate for at least 3 months.
As of now, the validity of the DMV certificate is 5 years.
The Pressure Vacuum Operator (DMV) training course from the SIR (Industrial Cleaning Foundation) is designed for individuals who work in industrial cleaning and want to specialize in operating pressure and vacuum trucks.

Who is the training for?
Pressure Vacuum Machine Operator (DVM) training focuses on ensuring safety, operating equipment correctly and complying with industry standards and regulations.
This training is especially relevant to:
- Novice machinists: People who are just starting out as machinists in industrial cleaning and have no experience working with pressure and vacuum trucks.
- Employees in industrial cleaning: Workers who want to expand their range of duties or move into a specific role within the industry.

In what language will the training be conducted?
The training is provided in Dutch as standard.
The SIR exam Pressure Vacuum Operator can, in addition to Dutch, also be requested in the languages listed below.- German

Admission requirements
- You are at least 18 years old
- You hold a valid VCA diploma (B-VCA, VOL-VCA or VIL-VCU)
- You have held an SIR Pressure Vacuum Aide (DVH) certificate for at least 3 months or an SIR Pressure Vacuum Machinist (DVM) certificate less than 6 months expired
No other specific prior training is required. However, it does help if you have some experience or affinity with work in industrial cleaning or similar sectors.

Different booking conditions apply for this training because the exam takes place under the supervision of the SIR and we have to take into account the conditions set by them. One-time free rescheduling is only possible if the change is communicated by e-mail at least 15 working days before the start of the training. Cancellations for an already requested SIR exam, less than 15 working days before the start of the training, cannot be made free of charge.
