GWO Basic Safety Training - Offshore - Basic

The GWO Basic Safety Training consists of the following modules:

• GWO First Aid Module
• GWO Manual Handling Module
• GWO Fire Awareness Module
• GWO Module Working at Heights
• GWO Sea Survival Module

These modules can also be followed separately. A more detailed explanation per module can be found on the individual module pages.

This is a basic training course, intended for people who have no experience with working in the wind industry and do not have a valid diploma for the modules mentioned.
Do you have a valid diploma for one or more modules, but they will expire soon? Then book a full refresher course or just the refresher of the modules that are due to expire.

The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.

• Valid GWO WINDA ID*

If you already have a WINDA ID: Please enter it in the comments field in the booking form.
If you do not have a WINDA ID yet: please request one. After filling in the requested data, an activation code, valid for 48 hours, will be sent to you by e-mail. Once you activate it and enter your password, you will receive a confirmation with your WINDA ID. Your WINDA ID will also appear at the top right of the page at that time. This WINDA ID is required for the registration of your certificates. We kindly ask you to send us your WINDA ID (preferably a few days before the training) by e-mail.

  • Identity card
  • Driving licence

• Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. However, if desired, you can receive a paper GWO certificate at an additional cost of €25 excluding VAT. Read our blog article for more information.
