Contents Forklift - Basic
The Safe Working with the Forklift Basic course consists of a theory and a practical part.Theory:
- Practical and safe handling of the forklift truck: tools, inspections and maintenance, forklift truck capabilities and forces.
- Safety regulations with regard to use, construction and equipment, transport routes and stacking areas.
Practice:
- Driving and safe transport
- Prevention of accidents and damage
- Recognition of dangerous defects
You complete both the theory and practical sections with a test. Do you complete it successfully? Then you will receive your forklift certificate.

Basic training: Forklift
This training is a basic training and is intended for you if you have not worked as a forklift driver before, or if you do not (or no longer) have a valid forklift certificate.

How long does a forklift training last?
The basic forklift training lasts two days. These two days are consecutive. -
How long is the certificate valid after the training?
The forklift certificate is valid for five years after obtaining the certificate. -
What is the minimum age to do this training?
The minimum age to sit for a forklift truck exam differs whether you sit for a SOG exam or a DELTA exam. The minimum age to take a DELTA exam is 16 years, the minimum age to take a SOG exam is 18 years. -
