The Escape Chute Training (formerly NOG or OLF supplement) is a training is given according to the guidelines of Norsk olje og gass (NOG - The Norwegian Oil & Gas Association). This organization was formerly called Oljeindustriens Landsforening (OLF). The training is intended for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry.
Despite existing agreements between the United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands regarding mutual acceptance of each other's training standards within the North Sea, this certificate is requested for some platforms in Norwegian waters.
Incidentally, this supplement should not be confused with the S-Cape training.

This additional training covers in particular the different Norwegian helicopter/survival suits and the safe use of the Norwegian Escape Chute. -
Basic and Recurrent Escape Chute Training
This training is meant for people without experience as well as for people with experience who want to refresh their knowledge or have a valid diploma that will expire soon.

In which language will the Escape Chute Training be given?
The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.

What is included in the price of the Escape Chute Training?

Do I need a medical certificate to participate in this training?
Yes, a medical certificate is an admission requirement to participate in this training. You must therefore be able to present this certificate. -
Is one Escape Chute training sufficient?
The Escape Chute training can be taken separately. However, this training is often booked as a supplement to an OPITO BOSIET, OPITO FOET, NOGEPA 0.5A or NOGEPA 0.5B training course, because work has to be done in Norwegian waters or because the student's employer/client requires this supplement. -
Why should I follow an Escape Chute training course?
The Escape Chute training is an NOG supplement and on some platforms in Norwegian waters it is still specifically requested.
