STCW Basic Safety Training - Refresher
The STCW Basic Safety Training is a worldwide requirement for everyone who wants to work or works on seagoing vessels and large yachts. This training is suitable for the maritime industry and maritime personnel, but also for sailors and drivers of seagoing motor yachts. In the Basic Safety Training (STCW) refresher course the participants' knowledge on how to act in various emergency situations on board is refreshed and their skills are tested.

Contents STCW Basic Safety Training - Refresher
During this STCW Basic Safety refresher course participants learn activities, procedures and skills that contribute to safety on the water and on board. Participants also learn how to act in emergency situations on board. The course includes theoretical instructions and practical exercises on the following subjects:
- Basic first aid
- Survival at sea techniques
- Personal safety and social responsibilities
- Fire prevention
- Put out a fire
With a positive result the participant receives a certificate STCW Basic Safety Training (BST) (A-V1/1). This certificate complies with STCW'78 guidelines including 2010 Manila amendments.

Refresher STCW Basic Safety Training
This training is a refresher course and is meant for people with maritime experience who want to refresh their knowledge or whose STCW Basic Safety Training diploma will expire soon.

In which language is the STCW Basic Safety Training - Refresher?
The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.
