GWO Working at Heights - Basic (Blended Learning)

• Personal safety
• Relevant legal and legislative knowledge, personal protective equipment, forces, etc.
• Basic fall protection: putting on a safety belt, rules and practical applications of fall protection, workplace restraint and work positioning
• Working with permanent and temporary fall protection systems
• Rescue from fall arrest system (rail or cable) using ready-to-use system
• Emergency escape from the nacelle
• Rescue victim hanging over the edge of the nascelle/transition piece
• Evacuate the victim and hand him over to professional responders
• Treatment of orthostatic shock (hanging trauma)
• Practising using different scenarios

This training is a basic training and is meant for you if you have no experience with working at heights, or do not (or no longer) have a valid certificate GWO Werken op Hoogte.
Do you have a valid GWO Working at Height certificate, but will it expire soon? Then book a refresher course.

The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.

• Valid GWO WINDA ID*
• Good physical condition
• Maximum weight of student 124 kilograms

If you already have a WINDA ID: Please enter it in the comments field in the booking form.
If you do not have a WINDA ID yet: please request one. After filling in the requested data, an activation code, valid for 48 hours, will be sent to you by e-mail. Once you activate it and enter your password, you will receive a confirmation with your WINDA ID. Your WINDA ID will also appear at the top right of the page at that time. This WINDA ID is required for the registration of your certificates. We kindly ask you to send us your WINDA ID (preferably a few days before the training) by e-mail.

• Practical training at our training location in the Waalhaven
• Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. However, if desired, you can receive a paper GWO certificate at an additional cost of €25 excluding VAT. Read our blog article for more information. You will receive the same certificate upon completion of the GWO Working at Heights - Basic (Blended Learning) as if you were taking the classroom version.
