GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning)
Do you perform physical work in or around a wind turbine? Would you like to learn the theory part of the GWO Manual Handling - Basic safety training at home, at your own time and pace, and the practical part at DELTA Safety Training's location? This is possible by booking the Blended Learning version of the GWO Manual Handling - Basic. During our GWO Blended Learning trainings you can follow your theory part at home and you only have to come to our training center for the practical part of the training. The duration listed in the left menu of this training page represents the number of practical training hours at our location. In addition to this duration, you will need to spend a certain number of hours for the theoretical part at home. So you save time and money!
This training GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning) is one of the five modules of the basic safety training course developed by the Global Wind Organisation for people working in the wind industry: GWO Basic Safety Training.

Basic Training GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning)
This training is a basic training. A basic training is meant for you if you don't have any professional experience with safe lifting and preventing injuries, or if you don't have a valid GWO Manual Handling diploma (anymore).

In what language is the GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning) taught?
The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.

What are the admission requirements for the GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning)?
- Valid GWO WINDA ID*
If you already have a WINDA ID: Please enter it in the comments field in the booking form.
If you do not have a WINDA ID yet: please request one. After filling in the requested data, an activation code, valid for 48 hours, will be sent to you by e-mail. Once you activate it and enter your password, you will receive a confirmation with your WINDA ID. Your WINDA ID will also appear at the top right of the page at that time. This WINDA ID is required for the registration of your certificates. We kindly ask you to send us your WINDA ID (preferably a few days before the training) by e-mail. -

What is included in the price of the GWO Manual Handling - Basic?
- E-learning
- Practical training at our training location in the Waalhaven
- Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. However, if desired, you can receive a paper GWO certificate at an additional cost of €25 excluding VAT. Read our blog article for more information. You will receive the same certificate upon completion of the GWO Manual Handling - Basic (Blended Learning) as if you were taking the classroom version.

Are the GWO trainings comparable to realistic situations?
Yes, we train to manually move loads in confined spaces. Wind turbines are also confined spaces and during training we try to simulate this as much as possible. -

The GWO Manual Handling training course has been developed for people working in the wind industry. Do you work in or around a wind turbine and do you perform physical labour? If so, follow this training so that you don't develop any physical complaints caused by your work. -
