The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) has developed a basic Advanced Rescue Training (ART) course for people working in the wind industry who already hold a GWO Working at Heights, GWO Manual Handling and GWO First Aid certificate. The GWO ART course contains multiple modules, in which participants learn everything about the safe rescue of people at height and in depth. Such as from the hub, wing, basement, nacelle or confined spaces.

Contents GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Basic
The GWO Advanced Rescue Training includes theory and practical instruction and consists of the following modules:
- GWO Module Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue
- GWO Module Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue
- GWO Module Single Rescuer: Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue
- GWO Module Single Rescuer Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue
These modules can also be taken separately, in which case please contact us.
Participants who pass will receive a GWO certificate for each module, making a total of four certificates.
The following two modules are valid for 2 years:
- GWO Module Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue
- GWO Module Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue
For the other two modules, there is no certificate validity date:
- GWO Module Single Rescuer: Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue
- GWO Module Single Rescuer Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue

GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Basic
This is a basic training, intended for people without advanced rescue (training) experience and not (or no longer) in possession of a valid diploma for the modules mentioned.

In which language does the GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Basic take place?
The training is given in English. On request or if only Dutch-speaking students participate, the instruction can be given in Dutch.

What are the entry requirements for the GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Basic?
- Valid GWO WINDA ID*
- Valid GWO Working at Heights certificate
- Valid GWO First Aid certificate
- Valid GWO Manual Handling Certificate
If you already have a WINDA ID: Please enter it in the comments field in the booking form.
If you do not have a WINDA ID yet: please request one. After filling in the requested data, an activation code, valid for 48 hours, will be sent to you by e-mail. Once you activate it and enter your password, you will receive a confirmation with your WINDA ID. Your WINDA ID will also appear at the top right of the page at that time. This WINDA ID is required for the registration of your certificates. We kindly ask you to send us your WINDA ID (preferably a few days before the training) by e-mail. -

What is included in the price of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training - Basic?
- Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. However, if desired, you can receive a paper GWO certificate at an additional cost of €25 excluding VAT. Read our blog article for more information.
