The 2 .5-day (consecutive days) Respiratory Protection B course with SIR exam (Industrial Cleaning Foundation) is designed for users of respiratory protection equipment where the concentrations of hazardous substances, gases or vapors in the workplace are above the limit values of these substances and pose a health threat if inhaled unprotected. During the training you will learn what respiratory protection equipment is available, how a breathing apparatus and the multi-hour connection (also called livable air) work, and how to use it to perform work safely.

Training content
The Breathing Protection B course covers the following topics:
Theory
- Respiratory protection general
- Dependent breathing protection (filter masks)
- Self-contained breathing apparatus
- Hose devices
- Selection of respiratory protective devices
- Working in confined spaces
- Monitoring and daily maintenance
- Safety measures
Practice
- Safe use and connection of the equipment
- Various practical exercises with breathing air
Theory and practical instruction will alternate. The SIR exam, which also consists of a theoretical and a practical part, is administered in the morning of day 3. A read-aloud exam is possible for candidates with dyslexia or language difficulties.

Who is the training for?
This training is meant for people without experience as well as for people with experience who want to refresh their knowledge and/or have a valid diploma that will expire soon.

The training is provided in Dutch as standard.
The SIR Examination in Respiratory Protection B, in addition to Dutch, can also be requested in the languages listed below.- German

Admission requirements
- 18 years or older
- In possession of a valid medical certificate (medium to high tax profile)
- the face should be clean-shaven
- You can only take part in the practical exam if you have passed the theory exam.

Yes. To participate in the training and perform your duties, you must possess a valid medical certificate (medium to high load profile).

Booking conditions
Different booking conditions apply for this training because the exam takes place under the supervision of the SIR and we have to take into account the conditions set by them. One-time free rescheduling is only possible if the change is communicated by e-mail at least 15 working days before the start of the training. Cancellations for an already requested SIR exam, less than 15 working days before the start of the training, cannot be made free of charge.
