Do you ever drive an AWP 3A and/or 3B or are you planning to drive one soon? Prevent accidents, prepare yourself properly by attending AWP 3A & 3B safety training! During this two-day basic course (consecutive days) you will learn all kinds of knowledge and skills about working safely with the AWP category 3A (mobile elevating work platform) and 3B (mobile boom lift).
During the AWP training you learn to work safely and responsibly with an AWP category 3A and 3B, you learn about legal requirements, different models and types of AWPs, power sources and safety requirements. You will also learn about inspection and possible wind loads. You will develop skills, learn to inspect the AWP before use, set up and move it safely. Contents Aerial platform 3A & 3B - Basic
During the basic Safe Working with the AWP Category 3A and 3B course, you will learn the material through both a theory and practical part.Theory
- Definition of aerial platforms, models and types
- Relevant legal provision
- Practical and safe handling of the aerial work platform: various pieces of equipment, construction and layout, inspections and maintenance, load handling, possibilities and limitations
- Safety rules relating to safety equipment, workplace transport rules and AWP use
Practice
- Driving and safe operation
- Prevention of accidents and damage
- Recognition of dangerous defects
- Practical exercise on a set course, depending on the type of machine
You conclude both sections (theory and practice) with a test.

Basic training aerial platform 3A & 3B
This training is a basic training and is intended for you if you have no experience working with an AWP 3A and 3B.
Do you already have sufficient experience and/or a valid AWP 3A and 3B certificate, but will it expire soon? Then book a refresher training. -

What is included in the price of the AWP 3A & 3B - Basic?
- Digital certificate as proof of completion. A paper certificate will be not sent by default. However, if desired, you can receive a paper certificate at an additional cost of €25 excluding VAT. Read our blog article for more information.
