It's official! DELTA Safety Training is officially certified for GWO (Global Wind Organisation) training.

Growing demand for professionals
Investments in both offshore and onshore wind will increase significantly over the coming years. An estimated 12,000 people are currently working in the offshore wind industry in the Netherlands. The increasing investments will lead to a growing demand for extra professionals (8.000), professionals with the right certificates. The Global Wind Organisation, in which wind turbine owners and manufacturers are represented, has developed a standard (basic safety training) for people working in the wind industry. This standard ensures that employees are well prepared for the job, have knowledge of how to work safely and how to respond in the event of an emergency.

GWO training
The Basic Safety Training for staff working in the wind industry according to the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standard consists of five modules:

• Working at Heights
• First Aid
• Fire Awareness
• Manual Handling (Manual handling of loads/safe lifting)
• Sea Survival
