What is an SCC Basic textbook?

Will you soon be attending a Basic SCC training course or taking a Basic SCC exam? Of course, you want to be well prepared for your course and/or exam. If you book a SCC training with us, you will receive a free SCC calculation book. Are you taking a B-VCA exam? Then you can order a B-VCA digital book. The digital book is kept up-to-date and meets the current SCC final and test requirements. The book contains text, practice questions, videos and a final test.

Attention! Upon successful completion of the trial examination, you will not yet be in possession of a Basic Safety SCC certificate. The content of the SCC digital book is purely for preparation for the official SCC exam. You will have to book the Basic Safety SCC exam separately to be able to eventually obtain your official certificate. By taking the trial exam, you will gain a good insight into your level of knowledge and know whether you are already well prepared for the official exam.

What are the costs for an SCC Basic digibook?

The cost of a VCA Basic digibook varies by language. The Dutch digibook is already available for €31,50 (excl. VAT). The English language VCA Basis digibook can be ordered for €48,- (excl. VAT).

  • What is the price of a B-VCA digibook if I want to order it separately?

    The price of a separate B-VCA digibook in Dutch is EUR 31.50. The price of a separate B-VCA digibook in English is EUR 48.00.

  • Do I have to pay immediately for an SCC exam?

    The VCA exam can be booked via our website and participants can register directly at a national location. Various payment methods are available, such as payment via iDeal or by credit card. For regular customers and customers with higher volumes, it is possible to book an exam on account. We provide a code for this purpose.

  • Can I book a separate VCA exam at DELTA Safety Training?

    It is possible to book a VCA exam directly via our website. You can choose from locations all over the Netherlands and look for the day and time that suits you best. If an exam is no longer available, the date will disappear from the website.

  • What is the added value of a B-VCA diploma?

    More and more organisations and companies require that their employees hold a valid SCC diploma. In total, approximately 15,000 companies are certified and 1.5 million employees have an SCC diploma. Because an SCC diploma gives you knowledge of how to work safely in a hazardous environment, you ensure that both your own safety and the safety of the colleagues you work with are increased. When you obtain your VCA diploma, this is registered in the VCA register. (Future) employers can therefore immediately check whether you possess an SCC diploma.

  • How long is a B-VCA certificate valid?

    A B-VCA certificate is valid for ten years. If ten years have passed then it is necessary to take another exam. The responsibility to request a new exam in time lies with yourself, you will not be reminded from an authority that your certificate will soon expire. If you have forgotten until when your SCC certificate is valid, you can take a look at the Central Diploma Register yourself. This is where the period of validity of your certificate is listed. Just enter your name and date of birth here or your SCC diploma number and you will see the validity period appear.

  • What do I learn during the B-VCA training?

    The B-VCA training will highlight various aspects of basic safety. Working conditions and legislation are dealt with, for example. You will learn what the Working Conditions Act states. During the B-VCA training you will also go deeper into accidents, accident prevention, working safely with tools, physical load, horizontal and vertical transport, electricity, hazardous substances, etc. The above-mentioned subjects are only a selection from the total material that is dealt with during a B-VCA training course.

  • What B-VCA offers does DELTA Safety Training have?

  • I have dyslexia, can I get an adapted B-VCA exam?

    If you have dyslexia or if you have difficulty reading, you can request a reading test. You will be given headphones during the exam. You can choose whether you want to have the question and/or answer read to you. If you want to use an exam that has to be read out loud, you have to request this in advance. This cannot be arranged on the spot.

  • Can I take a B-VCA mock exam?

    Yes, it is possible to take a B-VCA mock exam. On our website you can find in the menu under the knob Course material mock exam in different languages.

  • What does B-VCA mean?

    B-VCA stands for basic safety SCC. The training is meant for everyone who needs basic knowledge of safety, health and environment.

  • Who needs a B-VCA certificate?

    Everyone who performs his/her work in a risky environment or whose work involves risk must be in possession of a B-VCA certificate. Both permanent employees and independent contractors are obliged to have this certificate.
